Winnowing, sifting and gravity separation for wheat processing machinery....
1.Winnowing Method
It makes use of different aerodynamic properties of wheat and impurities. Vertical air tunnel and air suction separator are usually used in wheat processing machinery.
2.Sifting method
It cleans the materials according to different granularity of the wheat and impurity. The granularity depends on thickness and width of the wheat and impurity. It needs movable sieve cover with reasonable sieve holes. The sieve cover moves in relative motion with the wheat. The heavy but small materials then become screen throughs.
Vibration screen, rotary flat sieve and preliminary sieve are commonly used.
3.Gravity Separation Method
The gravity separation method makes use of different gravity of impurities and wheat. It needs air and water as media. The air is used in dry milling while the water in wet milling. Gravity destoner and grader are commonly used in dry milling; Washer whizzer and stoner is commonly used in wet gravity method.
